Saudi Arabia Supports Peaceful Resolution Between US and Iran

Saudi Arabia has reiterated that its stance on regional tensions remains unchanged and that the kingdom Saudi Arabia supports peaceful resolution of the dispute between the United States and Iran. A senior Saudi official emphasized that Riyadh continues to prioritize diplomacy and dialogue to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

On Sunday, the official denied reports claiming that Saudi Arabia pressured Washington to carry out military action against Iran. He stressed that these claims were inaccurate and misrepresented Riyadh’s principled position on the matter.

According to the statement published in the Saudi-owned newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, the kingdom is actively supporting efforts for a peaceful settlement between the two nations. These efforts are being pursued through diplomatic channels and ongoing dialogue.

The Saudi official also clarified that Saudi Arabia rejects any use of its airspace or territory for attacks against Iran. He added that the kingdom remains committed to respecting Iran’s sovereignty and maintaining regional stability.

Additionally, the official noted that Saudi Crown Prince spoke to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian by phone on Tuesday, reaffirming that Saudi Arabia supports peaceful resolution and respects Iran’s sovereignty while encouraging continued diplomatic engagement.
